Standard Range uPVC Sliding Sash Windows
Our Standard Range uPVC Sliding Sash Windows are designed for customers who want more traditional styling, greater customisation, and additional upgrade flexibility compared to the Essential range. Starting from £430+VAT, this range introduces more detailed sash window features while still maintaining a practical and competitive price point.
Unlike the Essential range, the Standard range includes mechanical frame joints, sash horns, and trickle vents as standard, helping create a more authentic sash window appearance straight from the base specification. Customers also gain access to a much wider range of upgrade options including woodgrain finishes, slim midrails, deep bottom rails, laminated glass, and improved thermal glazing upgrades.
This range is particularly suited to homeowners upgrading period-style properties, renovation projects requiring additional detailing, and customers who want more control over the final appearance of their sash windows without moving into a fully heritage specification.

Features of Our Standard Range uPVC Sliding Sash Windows
The Standard range has been developed for customers who want more traditional sash window detailing and broader upgrade flexibility compared to the Essential range. Instead of focusing purely on affordability, this range creates a stronger balance between appearance, functionality, and customisation.
As standard, the Standard range includes mechanical frame joints, sash horns, trickle vents, integrated cills, double glazing, toughened glass to the lower sash, Deep bottom rail, slim midrail, travel restrictors, lockable restrictors and full made-to-measure sizing. These features help create a more detailed sash window appearance while improving ventilation and giving the windows a more refined finish overall.
The Standard range also opens access to a wider range of upgrade options. Customers can configure astragal bars, weather bars, laminated glazing, upgraded thermal performance, and additional hardware accessories depending on the style and performance requirements of the property.
While the Standard range includes significantly more flexibility than the Essential range, some premium traditional detailing and fully heritage-style features remain reserved for our Enhanced and Heritage collections.

The included woodgrain collection provides a broad choice of traditional and modern finishes suitable for period properties, residential renovations, extensions, and development projects. 0203 479 6581uPVC sliding sash windows are vertically opening windows made up of two separate panels, known as sashes, which sit one above the other within the frame. The bottom sash slides upwards and the top sash slides downwards, allowing you to control airflow by opening either section or both together.
Unlike traditional timber sash windows, modern versions are manufactured using durable uPVC profiles. This means you retain the classic sash window design commonly seen in period properties across the UK, while benefiting from improved insulation, enhanced security and minimal maintenance.
Most modern uPVC sash windows also include a tilt function, allowing both sashes to tilt inwards for easy and safe cleaning from inside the property.
At Sliding Sash Windows UK, we offer four ranges so you can choose based on your budget and how much customisation you need.
The Essential range keeps things simple with core features and a white finish.
The Standard range gives you more flexibility with colours, hardware and upgrades.
The Enhanced range includes more features as standard, so you do not have to add them individually.
The Heritage range is fully specified with traditional detailing like mechanical joints and woodgrain finishes, making it ideal for period and conservation-style properties.
